Rachel & Michael’s Golf Club Wedding

Rachel & Michael wanted to do things a bit differently for their wedding; they wanted to spend as much time as possible with their friends and family so they decided to have a “first look” where they had their main bridal party photos before the ceremony. As untraditional as it is, I love the idea plus are weddings these days really that traditional anymore?

The day started off at their house where the boys were getting ready. Michael’s father was his best man, which is just adorable- he was so honored. The girls looked gorgeous with a lot of Rachel’s hand made special pieces being on show as part of their big day including their beautiful bouquets. As we approached Port Adelaide for the “first look”, both bride and groom were set with nerves. I guided them eyes-closed next to one another and as we let them see each other for the first time, we watched as the magic unfolded.

After the beautiful ceremony hosted by amazing celebrant Jessica Maida, the bride and groom were free to chat to their guests and enjoy the day as the main photos were done.

Inside the golf club, the scene was set with a beautiful array of hand-made items from the creative Rachel, which was just a gorgeous touch to a beautiful heart-felt wedding. Congrates to you both!

Tegan & Chris’s Byron Bay Wedding

A day off for me to relax as a guest at a good friend’s wedding… of course a camera was still in one hand! Here is a little of what I managed to snap on the day from the back row.

Tegan and Chris tied the knot in the gorgeous hinterland of Byron Bay. Surrounded by tall, green trees, beautiful spirits and a bucket load of good vibes; the two lovebirds locked lips and were pronounced Mr and Mrs Miller. Tegan’s boho, lace dress from Spell Designs wowed everyone! A beautiful Teepee overlooking the lush hinterland and flowing river saw to the after party, where good tunes were in ample. There was plenty of laughter, catch-ups from interstate friends and family and the good thing was there was no one surrounding us for miles. As the night slowed down at the end, the groom got out his guitar and serenaded his new wife just as he did for his proposal.

Jessica & Craig’s Adelaide Hills Wedding

As the bride and groom got ready for their big day, the tough decision was made to move the ceremony location under cover. With a vintage styled beautiful shed being set up at Barristers Block Winery, the focus was soon back on the happy couple. Everyone admired the bride and groom who embraced the rain and even allowed me to get a few shots without umbrellas. The boys were all laughter when they revealed their football long socks under their pants. Jessica shared this day with 4 best girlfriends from high school all sharing a beautiful bond, who else would you want next to you on your wedding day?! The party really got going when the Happy Leonards started playing and was sure to get everyone on the D-floor.
