A little family shoot at Brighton

You know that crazy storm that hit the other week on that fine Friday afternoon? Well that was exactly the time we had scheduled a family photo session with the Obst Family at Brighton! As things started to get crazy with wind and rain, we quickly ducked into a nearby pub to grab a drink to see if it was going to pass over. As half an hour went by, we couldn’t believe it.. the storm had miraculously passed & the cloudy mood lighting outside was better than before!

We continued to our photo session with gorgeous little Jett who had just turned One & his big brother Zane! Here’s a little something of what we got!.

Welcome to the world Will

Little Will joined the Lloyd family in October and I was lucky enough to capture him as early as 10 days old. Needless to say that Olivia was excited to have a new best friend! I absolutely love taking newborn photos at the family’s home, it allows for very relaxed, natural lifestyle photography. Enjoy!.

Cam, Amy & Little Maisie

On a sunny Thursday afternoon, the Willis family and I met down at the stunning location of Kuitpo Forest. The spot we picked felt so secretive and special, we we’re bound to get some good snaps! Maisie in her mini Tipi was always going to be a cute idea, but when we sat her in it, with that warm afternoon sun shining in behind her…the magic really started to unfold.
After photographing Cam & Amy’s wedding 2 years ago at Bird in Hand Winery, I felt honoured to be their chosen family photographer and look forward to many more shoots as Maisie grows up!.

Nat + Tom Engagement Session | Port Willunga Beach

Just a casual, romantic little evening down at beautiful Port Willunga Beach- my personal fav!

Nat + Tom were stars in front of the camera with a natural flare and a lot of love. They just wanted to have fun with a couple of piggy back rides, twirl around in the sand and to take in the amazing coastline of the Fleurieu Peninsula. I got the feeling this couple were truely grateful with their lives right now + where they are at.. which is really what it is all about!

I am really looking forward to photographing these guys special day in November at Glen Ewin Estate, another very picturesque location. Can’t wait xx

Kate + Tristan Engagement Session

After meeting Kate at a Bridal Fair earlier this year, I knew we clicked and I was so excited when her and Tristan decided I was the right photographer for their wedding. It was so nice to get to know this lovely couple during their Engagement session. As usual, both were quite nervous at the start but after the first couple of shots, they both came alive and became relaxed in front of the camera. That is the absolute beauty with Engagement Sessions; not only is it a great chance to get to know me & for me to get to know you, it is a great chance to feel relaxed as a couple in front of the lens so that by the time your wedding comes…your absolute pros!

Jessica’s beautiful Maternity + Newborn Shoot

Jessica & her beautiful family were a delight to photograph. A lot of women don’t want photos taken when they’re pregnant and Jessica was one of them. After a bit of persuasion, she realised she didn’t want to regret it and agreed to a casual shoot down the beach with her beautiful bump and her family.
A few weeks later, little Brynn was born and big sis Eden was over the moon! It was so special to capture the bond between these two sisters only 17 odd months apart, which reminded me of my sister and I.

Jessica is not only a mother of these two gorgeous girls, she is an amazing celebrant who I have been lucky enough to have worked with. Check her out on facebook: Jessica Maida Civil Celebrant

Rachel & Michael’s Golf Club Wedding

Rachel & Michael wanted to do things a bit differently for their wedding; they wanted to spend as much time as possible with their friends and family so they decided to have a “first look” where they had their main bridal party photos before the ceremony. As untraditional as it is, I love the idea plus are weddings these days really that traditional anymore?

The day started off at their house where the boys were getting ready. Michael’s father was his best man, which is just adorable- he was so honored. The girls looked gorgeous with a lot of Rachel’s hand made special pieces being on show as part of their big day including their beautiful bouquets. As we approached Port Adelaide for the “first look”, both bride and groom were set with nerves. I guided them eyes-closed next to one another and as we let them see each other for the first time, we watched as the magic unfolded.

After the beautiful ceremony hosted by amazing celebrant Jessica Maida, the bride and groom were free to chat to their guests and enjoy the day as the main photos were done.

Inside the golf club, the scene was set with a beautiful array of hand-made items from the creative Rachel, which was just a gorgeous touch to a beautiful heart-felt wedding. Congrates to you both!

Liv’s 1st Birthday Cake Smash

Little Liv is such a cutie, full of beans and looked gorgeous in her little watermelon hair tie to match the scene. With a epic colourful, cake made by Mum, Liv didn’t take long to get stuck into the deliciousness. But of course.. the look up to Mum right before eating her first mouthful as if to say “Is it ok to have this Mummy?” is always a priceless moment with these shoots. There were a few crack ups and giggles as Liv got stuck into the cake and played drums on the crates. Before long, it was time to splash around in the bubble bath! Happy Birthday gorgeous girl, I can’t wait til our next shoot!
